Is Free actually useful on its own?

Yes, and it stays that way. Unlimited recipes, cook mode, the shared list, every reminder, your partner and your friends are free for good. Free helps with every dinner you pick. Plus plans the week for you.

How does the free trial work?

Every new household starts on Plus, with no card. It runs through your first two planning days. After that you choose: subscribe, or carry on with Free. Nothing you made goes away either way.

Does my partner need their own Plus?

No. One subscription covers everyone in your household, on every phone.

Can I cancel?

Any time, in a few taps: Settings, then Plus, then Manage plan, in the app or at app.heyhotdish.com. You can also switch between yearly and monthly or update your card there. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for, and you keep your recipes and plans after. We email you before each yearly renewal.

Why does ChatGPT and Claude need Plus?

In those apps, HOTDISH plans your week for you, which is the heart of Plus. It runs on the ChatGPT or Claude plan you already have.
